This drawing is pure geometry. All of the structure of the outer ring is arranged on a four-fold symmetry axis with a Teutonic Cross in the background. The four tilted arms are reminiscent of a swastika, an ancient Hindu holy symbol (hijacked by modern hate groups). This symbolic structure can be found in several other positions inside the drawing. The eight pointed star in the center is identical to a theme in “Star of David”. Inside the eight pointed star is a woven band in a Celtic knot. Each of the four corners contains a vanishing point meant to resemble endless reflection in two mirrors.
The original drawing Aztec Swastika is a 14″x17″ hand-drawn pen and ink drawing, drawn using a .25 mm Rapidograph pen and black India ink. Prints are printed on matte archival quality acid-free paper.
