Somanambulist

This is a mechanical improvisation. The center is a rotating armature which is mounted in a large roughly triangular frame. Attached to the frame are various spindles, pulleys, and motors. When operating, many of these parts are in motion, rotating and spinning, some swinging like pendulums.   The Hindi text in the top right corner is from the Bhagavad Gita. It is there to remind us that the machine was designed and made by humans, so in this way, it is a living instrument.
