Prophet is a mechanical improvisation. It is made of bits and pieces of various machines and devices I have photographed or seen in person at various times. The original drawing is a 14″x17″ hand-drawn pen and ink drawing, drawn using a .25 mm Rapidograph pen and black India ink. Prints are printed on matte archival quality acid-free paper. This drawing has Arabic calligraphy Mashallah : "The literal meaning of Mashallah is "what God has willed", in the sense of "what God has willed has happened"; it is used to say something good has happened, used in the past tense. Inshallah, literally "if God has willed", is used similarly but to refer to a future event."
